Around the knowledge management we have developed further functions. One of them is the network. A sort of Xing especially designed for the needs of researchers, connected to a powerful knowledge management system.
A network does only make sense if there are enough people to use it. Thanks to the speedy growth of the last few weeks we’re approaching this dimension. Time to enhance our network functions. ( And time for you to create your own profile if you haven’t done so already
)
Basically it’s about finding other researchers working in the same field of studies, to team up with them and share information and thoughts. Furthermore, it’s about finding intersting public sources, read published papers of others, etc.
Therefore we have added two functions:
1. Profile entries are now clickable.
If you click on an entry of a profile youl will get a list of all other users who have the same entry (provided they have set them on “public”).
An example: You have entered “history”. Just click on this entry and you will get a list of all other users who have the entry “history” in their profile and who have set it on “public”. Find colleagues, partners for cooperation, interesting public sources …
2. Advanced search
There are now many possibilities to search for other Scholarz:
A few weeks ago we have launched our unique combination of knowledge management and community:
If you have discovered an interesting source, you can take a look at all users of this source via the “co-worker” link (provided it is set on “public”).
Thus you can get from the source to the researcher. And via the “public library” button of this researcher you can find other interesting sources. You find relevant persons through relevant sources and vice versa.
A network which will improve your research as well!
